Changing Markets Foundation
Impactful storytelling for a mission-driven organisation.
01.
The Brand
Founded by two former Greenpeace executives, the Changing Markets Foundation is a small but mighty organisation campaigning for a sustainable future. Their work exposes irresponsible corporate practices and tackles some of the world's most pressing issues – from plastic pollution and climate misinformation to unsustainable food systems.
Book extract
“Campaigning is powered by passion, determination, commitment and instinct. Trust your gut, and you’ll be a force for change.”
02.
The Brief
I first joined forces with Changing Markets for an ambitious project to mark their 10th anniversary: a 300-page, coffee-table-style book celebrating a decade of campaigns and impact. Since then, I've continued to support the organisation with copy for annual reports and publications, working closely with the founder to shape content that reflects their mission with clarity and conviction.
Campaigning principles
“As campaigners, it’s our job to take risks. There is no value in Changing Markets as an institution – the value is in the radical campaigns we run and the good we do.”
03.
The Result
The book brought ten years of campaigning to life in a format worthy of the work – carefully curated, edited, and shaped into something to be picked up, revisited, and shared.
Part celebration, part invitation, it captures what a small, determined team can achieve – and gently encourages others to do the same – whether that's starting something new, supporting a cause, or simply putting their money where it matters.
Campaign spotlight
“For more than 50 years, industrial fishing ships have prowled the icy waters of the Southern Ocean in pursuit of Antarctic krill, a tiny shrimp-like crustacean no larger than a paperclip.”
